The Cooked with Chesed (love/kindness) program started the week of June 14. Clients who are having a difficult time preparing meals due to age, disability, recovery from surgery, etc. can receive 5 vegetarian meals (no dairy) every two weeks. The Kitchen is a Kosher Pareve Kitchen under the supervision of Kosher Check (formerly known as BCK).
Our new chef is Garry Mallel. Garry comes to The Kitchen after a long career as a head chef all over the world, most recently as the Head Chef at Vancouver’s Biercraft restaurants.
Some highlights from the menu include Borscht, Creamy Mushroom Penne Pasta, Vegetarian Cobb Salad, Vegetarian Shepherd’s Pie, Coconut Chickpea Curry, and Spaghetti and “Meat” Balls.
